Charles ‘Yele Akindayomi, known professionally as ‘The Doyen of the Lagos High rise’ is a renowned Mechanical Engineering Systems Design and Project Management professional.

He is the technical and administrative Head at CA Consultants, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm consisting of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Engineers, which he founded in 1987. The company provides a complete management, planning, design and supervisory service for site utility infrastructure, industrial and building engineering systems necessary for major construction projects. This, they have done for projects like Heritage Place, Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria Head Office, Lagos, Civic Towers in Victoria Island and FourPoints by Sheraton Hotel, Victoria Island, successfully changing the Lagos skyline.

Before this, he was appointed as Executive Director at Biobaku Consulting Engineers (formerly Oscar Faber) from 1985 to 1987 growing from the ranks as Project Engineer through Principal Project Engineer from 1980. All this after starting his professional career with Mandilas Ltd. in 1977 as a protege engineer himself.
He is currently the President of the Association for Consulting Engineering in Nigeria (ACEN) where he is using his influence to shape the narrative for Engineers in this part of the world.

When he is not being a dedicated engineer, he is giving back to the community either in his capacity as a past president of Lions Club, Maryland, Lagos and as a member of The Metropolitan Club, Lagos or as a Board member of Special Olympics Nigeria (SON).
